2022 Special Election for President
USPSA Headquarters
Apr 12, 2022

On January 15-16, 2022, the Board of Directors voted to begin the process for the special election for the position of President.  In doing so, the Board of Directors set a cutoff date of April 1, 2022 for all nominating petitions to be received and verified by USPSA in order to be considered a candidate.

This cutoff date is the basis for all subsequent due dates for candidate information submission and for the upcoming voting period.  Candidate biography’s, a Q&A document, and other information helpful to voters can be found at https://uspsa.org/elections .

USPSA’s election provider, YesElections, powered by Election America, will begin distributing voting credentials for all eligible voters.  To be an eligible voter you must be a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident with a current USPSA membership that has an original membership date prior to May 1, 2022.  Ballots must be cast between May 16, 2022 and 5pm Pacific time, June 16, 2022.

As in the past, all ballots will be cast via an on-line system.  YesElections will issue a unique voting credential that will be included on the voter information card mailed to each eligible member on/before May 16, 2022.  With this unique ID and PIN, ballots may be cast at the web site indicated on the voter information card.

Additionally, we have expanded voter authorization to include the use of members USPSA membership log in via the USPSA web page.  By signing into USPSA.org, members can be authenticated as an eligible voter by clicking a Vote Now link.  This link will redirect the member to a secure voting portal operated by YesElections.  This site will authenticate the member’s eligibility to vote by cross referencing the unique voter ID information, and if you have not voted, it will allow you to cast your ballot.

This link will be present for all members during the election cycle.  However, only those who meet the eligibility requirements and who have not cast a ballot by other means, will be allowed to vote.

Communication from YesElections will be as follows:

Postcard voter information mailed on/before May 16, 2022 – expect traditional US Mail delivery times
